Was also a consensus First Team All-American, and was named Big Ten Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. Earned consensus Second Team All-American honors as a senior. Finished career as the third all-time leading scorer in Illinois history (1,812 points), and ranks second in three-point field goals (299), assists (674), and steals (231). Was a member of the bronze-medal 2002 USA Basketball Men's Junior World Championship Qualifying Team and the 2003 USA Basketball Men's National Junior Team and set a team record with 47 points in a win over Lithuania.

Senior (2005-06): Led the Big Ten in assists (5.8 apg) and ranked eleventh in scoring (14.2 ppg). Scored 20 or more points seven times and led the team in scoring in 15 games. Sank seven threes in recording a career-high 34 points vs. Michigan State. Tallied 26 points and seven assists vs. Oregon. Recorded double-figure assists four times, with a season-high 11 assists at Indiana. Registered 15 points and six assists vs. Washington in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Junior (2004-05): Ranked second in the Big Ten and 12th nationally in three-point field goal percentage (.434). Season total of 99 threes made is the second-highest total in school history. Led team in scoring in 10 contests. Shot 8-for-10 from beyond the arc in posting a career-high 27 points vs. Purdue. Dished out a career-high 13 assists vs. Longwood. Led team with 21 points vs. Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the NCAA Tournament Chicago Regional Semifinals. Contributed 12 points and seven assists vs. North Carolina in the national title game.

Sophomore (2003-04): Ranked second on the team in scoring (13.3 ppg) and assists (4.5 apg, second in the Big Ten). Also ranked eighth in the league in three-point field goals made (2.2) and ninth in steals (1.6). Posted season-high 24 points vs. Penn State. Recorded a double-double of 18 points and 10 assists at Iowa. Led team with 21 points vs. Murray State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Freshman (2002-03): Led the Big Ten in assists (5.0 apg). Scored season-high 25 points vs. Eastern Illinois. Recorded a season-high 11 assists at Penn State. Named to the first-ever Big Ten All-Freshman Team.

Strengths: Possesses tremendous quickness and end-to-end speed. A natural leader, who plays with great energy. Can create off the dribble for himself and others.

Personal: Graduated with a degree in sport management. Also excelled as a QB in high school football.
