Senior (2005-06): Led the team in scoring (17.1 ppg), assists (3.5 apg) and free throw percentage (.860). Scored 20 or more points 13 times. Scored 21 points in team’s loss to South Carolina in NIT semifinal. Had 26 points in team’s win over Missouri St. in NIT quarterfinal. Had a season-high nine rebounds four times. Hit five or more three-pointers in a game eight times, including seven against Richmond.
Junior (2004-05): Third Team All-Conference USA selection. Averaged a career-high 14.4 points. Shot 44.7 percent from three-point range, good enough for ninth in the nation. Set a school record with 122 three-pointers. Had 23 points, including seven three-pointers, against West Virginia in the Albuquerque Region championship game of the NCAA tournament.
Sophomore (2003-04): Team Tri-Captain, he led the team with 71 three-point field goals (40.1 percent) made. Switched from shooting guard to point guard. Hit a school-record nine three-pointers and scored a career-high 31 points against VMI.
Freshman (2002-03): Earned C-USA All-Freshman Team honors. Started 22 games and finished the season with an 8.8 scoring average. Scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds against UAB in C-USA tournament title game. Scored a season-high 21 points against Furman.
Strengths: Great range on jump shot. Can play both guard spots. Good on-the-ball defender and very good rebounder from the guard position.
Personal: Son of Kevin and Jacquelin Owens. Has two brothers, a sister and a cousin, Raheem Carter who played basketball at Seton Hall. Major is justice administration. Favorite basketball player is Kobe Bryant.
