NBA All-Star
During NBA All-Star, the league celebrates its tradition and commitment to social responsibility with a week-long schedule of events during the NBA Cares Community Caravan. Members of the NBA Family, including current and former players and their family members, WNBA and NBA D-League players, team and league executives and celebrities, take part in the week-long schedule of events that benefit the local community. Additionally, NBA Marketing and Media partners participate in a wide range of projects in partnership with nationally recognized community partners to strengthen the cause-related marketing efforts of NBA All-Star.
NBA All-Star 2011
The NBA family worked together on more than 30 service projects and events that left a lasting impact on the Los Angeles community. These efforts were highlighted by the NBA Cares All-Star Day of Service on February 18.
NBA All-Star 2010
The NBA family joined NBA partners and guests to work together on more than 25 service projects and events that left a lasting impact on North Texas communities. These efforts were highlighted by the NBA Cares All-Star Day of Service on February 12.
NBA All-Star 2009
NBA All-Star 2009 allowed for a tremendous amount of community outreach in the Phoenix area. Community outreach efforts included a reading rally, hospital visit, youth basketball celebration, wheelchair basketball skills clinic, Make-A-Wish activities for four amazing young people and more.
Day of Service
A collection of NBA All-Stars and participants, former players, NBA business and media partners and guests roll up their sleeves to participate in service projects throughout the host city. Volunteers build homes and playgrounds, revitalize schools, and refurbish neighborhoods.
T-Mobile Rookie Challenge and Youth Jam
As part of NBA All-Star in the Community, T-Mobile and the NBA have joined their community relations efforts to create the T-Mobile Stick Together All-Stars program, providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for youth to experience NBA All-Star Weekend at the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam.
Commitment to New Orleans
NBA All-Star 2008 showcased the world's greatest athletes and highlighted the league's commitment to ongoing rebuilding and revitalization of New Orleans. The NBA continued its on-going commitment during the 2008-09 season by focusing on three key areas of need: education, housing, and recreation.
